Most Instagrammable Spots in South Bay Coast, SF Bay Area
As an Oakland Native, I didn’t get a chance to really explore the South Bay growing up. But for the places I have been to, these are my favorite Instagrammable spots.
This list only covers the South Bay. For more of my favorite Instagrammable spots in the Bay Area, check out my other posts on the North Bay and the City of San Francisco.

I’ve also created a map with EXACTLY where to I took these photographs at the end. These pins come directly from the GPS marker on my photos.
Pacifica State Beach
This is home to the prettiest Taco Bell in the world (I didn’t make this up) and also offers great view of the beach.
Address: 5200 CA-1, Pacifica, CA 94044
Admission: Free
Montara Lighthouse
This is worth a visit if you really like lighthouses, it’s pretty small but cute. Probably no need to spend more than 20 minutes here.
Address: 8800 Cabrillo Hwy, Montara, CA 94037
Admission: Free
Pigeon Point Lighthouse
This is one of my favorite Instagrammable spots in the entire Bay Area. It’s a gorgeous place to catch the sunset, and the lighthouse serves as a great backdrop for photos.
Address: 210 Pigeon Point Road Highway 1 Pescadero, CA 94060

Poplar Beach
South Bay has many amazing beaches, and I find Poplar Beach to be a pretty cute place to spend an afternoon. The beach views are great, but it’s the cliffs that really make for a great Instagram shot.
Address: Poplar St, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019
Admission: Free
The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay
The Ritz-Carton in Half Moon Bay, which is walking distance from Poplar Beach also offers incredible scenic views of the Pacific Ocean. Definitely worth a visit!
