I’m Tari, and I hope you’ll follow my journey to 1,000 cities! I’ll be learning lots about culture, food, photography, customs, and people along the way and hope to share all these learnings with you on this blog.

As someone who graduated with an International Relations degree, I’m pretty knowledgeable about how political context and history have shaped countries and culture around the world- so you’ll find some history tidbits on this blog too!

What You’ll Find on my Blog

Most of the content on my blog will be organized into five categories:

1) Most Instagrammable (most beautiful) Spots in Each City

I go out of my way to look for pretty things. Whether it’s a popular tourist spot, or a little known corner in the city, I will share where you can find the most scenic spots on each location here.

This is the only travel blog out there that will give you the exact GPS coordinates of where my photos are taken so that you can find the exact spot. My Google Maps are carefully customized to every detail.

2) Travel Money Diaries

Not sure how much to budget for your trip and what you’ll get out of it? I actually document every penny I spent and what I spent it on, so I hope it’ll be helpful as a starting point to help with your budgeting!

3) Local Gems

I’m very good at finding small towns and gems away from big tourist destinations that are more beautiful than the big cities. Information to get to these (somewhat) remote areas may be hard to find— that’s why I’ve created in-depth guides on how to get to these local gems for you.

4) Travel Maps

I love tinkering and working with maps. In fact, I have a map for every city I’ve visited (both digitally and physically!) Here, you will find travel plans from my own travels, as organized and color-coded with Google Maps!

What You Won’t Find:

Gorgeous, stunning photos with long flowy dresses. I admire the fashionable Instagrammers who take such beautiful photos, but I’m more of a practical adventurous traveler. I’m on my feet 12+ hours a day and I trek across countries with just my limited space in my carry-on and sneakers.

However, plenty of these beautiful photoshoots take place at the GPS markers I’ve identified, so hope this will be helpful for your beautiful instagram shoots as well!

My Travel Reach: 26 Countries, 300+ Cities

So far, I’ve visited 26 countries and over 300 cities across the globe. Each country and each city has its own unique flare, so I hope I will have articulated this for you in my blog.
